What to expect
To fully understand what’s happening with your body takes a while to unravel. I spend time researching your case and getting to the root cause of your health concerns. Rather than just treating your current symptoms, let’s discover what’s really going on. Naturopathic nutritional therapy identifies your body’s unique needs and offers a bespoke approach to your health and wellbeing rather than a ‘one size fits all’ plan.
By delving deep into your health history, we start to understand potential imbalances and identify which foods will support your needs and which ones will work against you. The right foods can help balance our hormones and keep us on an even keel, making our symptoms and life’s challenges more manageable. Your overall health, hormones, gut and energy levels all receive a boost!
Step 1: Health Questionnaire and Food Diary
Before your initial consultation, I’ll send you a detailed health questionnaire and 5-day food diary to complete. This helps me gain some insight into your health concerns and maximises our time together. We’ll use this as a starting point to investigate your case.
Step 2: Consultation & Detailed Case History
I’ll take a detailed case history to understand what may be contributing to your current symptoms and we’ll review your full health history, family medical history and health goals. Together we’ll discuss a realistic and achievable plan to support your symptoms, taking into consideration your likes, dislikes and lifestyle.
I’ll provide some initial thoughts on what may contributing to your symptoms and make some recommendations you can adopt straight away. For complex cases, I may recommend functional testing to help pinpoint the root cause.
Step 3: Personalised Nutrition & Lifestyle Plan
After your consultation, I’ll research your case and prepare your Personalised Nutritional & Lifestyle Plan, tailored to suit your specific requirements. This provides you with recommended dietary changes and possibly some supplements in the short-term if your body needs a boost to get you on the road to improved health.
Step 4: Ongoing Support
To help you stick to your new plan and fit these changes into your already busy daily routine, my packages provide additional check-in calls which allow us to implement these changes in bite size pieces over the course of your package so you don’t feel overwhelmed. I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. This helps keep you on track and results in longer term, sustainable changes.
